Gender Responsive Budgeting and Progressing Breastfeeding Policy

In times of health crisis and emergency, including COVID-19, the implementation of the WHO/UNICEF Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding is more important than ever, but it is hindered by lack of investment in breastfeeding policies nationally.

This online webinar program aims to galvanise efforts to improve breastfeeding policies and funding in national budgets. Experts in breastfeeding, gender budgeting, health and economic policy will draw on global experience including from countries in South and East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia to apply the World Breastfeeding Trends initiative (WBTi) to Australian policy.
