What is gender? Should gender exist? How does your gender presentation affect the way you are treated by society? To what extent is feminism supporting transgender individuals? What can we do about these issues? Hear from Transgender individuals uniquely placed to answer these questions! 

For the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia the ANU Circle for Gender Equity is proud to be collaborating with the ANU Queer Department to bring you their third seminar for the semester.

We are fortunate to have TranzAustralia, a collective of Trans* and SGD (Sex and/or Gender Diverse) people who are educators, supporters and advocates, running the panel discussion. This is an opportunity not to be missed! Tranz Australia runs workshops for business, schools, community organisations and government departments across Australia. It views education as key and prompts listeners to consider gender and transgender issues in a relaxed and informal manner. 

Whether you are completely new to discussion of transgender issues or well-versed in the subject, this will be an insightful and thought-provoking event. Free sushi will be provided.
