Convenor of the Gender Institute: Professor Fiona Jenkins

Fiona Jenkins has been part of the management team of the ANU Gender Institute since its inception in 2011. She served as the Convenor of the ANU Gender Institute, between 2013-15, and commenced her second term in this role in July 2019. She is also a Professor in the School of Philosophy at ANU. Her research includes a wide range of interests with particular focus on topics in feminist and political theory, and a further focus on gender equity in academia. As the Gender Institute Convenor, she aims to develop and support best practice in promoting gender equality and has been involved in numerous projects including civil society monitoring of Australia’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security.
