AWHN symposium 2018: ‘The past is a position: History, activism and privilege’

We begin the day with a keynote plenary panel where Barbara Baird, Chelsea Bond and Suvendrini Perera will discuss History, Activism, Writing, and Doing. We will close the day with Ann Curthoys, Crystal McKinnon and Maria Nugent speaking on Networks, Movements, Land and Water - a panel in tribute to the late Tracey Banivanua Mar.
This symposium will be an intellectually exciting, thoughtful and active gathering that critically examine political experiences and ideas in the past, considers the legacies of these in the present, and works towards creating a better future.
