In 2012 the Federal Government launched the Australian National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security 2012-2018 (the NAP) as the first step towards implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325). Gender and anthropology node meetings
The Anthropology Node of the Gender Institute is comprised of a network of researchers on campus who share qualitative and ethnographic approaches to the study of gender and sexuality. Gender and history discussion group - 1st session
Gender and History node members will commence their 2017 meetings at 12.30pm on Friday 21 April in Fellows Bar (or outside in Fellows Garden if the weather permits). We will discuss Judith Bennett’s 1989 Gender & History article ‘Feminism and History’, reflecting both on our own research and practice and on the trajectory of gender history more broadly.
