Women in STEM workshop series

This workshop provides an introduction to the concept and core competencies of emotional intelligence. Two of the key aims of the workshop are to uncover some of the science behind emotions and our emotional responses and to provide some practical tools to help participants build their emotional knowledge, both of themselves and others. The workshop is divided into two sessions, one week apart, to give participants an opportunity for ‘real world’ practice of the tools gained in Part 1 of the workshop. Participant engagement is critical to achieving the learning outcomes of the workshop, so please come along ready to share!

About Isaac Reilly

Isaac graduated from ANU in 2005 with a BA (Theatre) and BSc (Molecular Biology) and no idea what to do with such a disparate academic combination! He has a keen interest in all things ‘cognitive science’ and has worked across a diverse range of roles and industries, from the federal government to mining. In recent years he moved into the management consulting space and enjoys the diversity, unpredictability and complexity inherent in the consulting world. Much of his professional career involved the study and analysis of human behaviour and the development and delivery of training on this topic, including courses on persuasion and influence, decision-making, deception and perception, cultural change and emotional intelligence.
