Women in Federal Parliament - Senate occasional lecture series

Seventy years on form teh election of the first women to the Austraian federal pariliament and 110 years since women won the vote and the right to stand for election, former senators Rosemary Crowley and Amanda Vanstone, and journalist Laura Tingle, will present the next Occasional Senate Lecture series event on Women in Federal Parliament.

The discission will focus on the evolution of the representation of women in the federal parliament, highlighting the impact that women parliamentarians have had on the nature, and outcomes, of political debate in Australia.
