A Canberra life: three sisters

Pamela Burton, Canberra Lawyer and Writer

Pamela Burton, and her older sisters, Dr Meredith Edwards and the late Dr Clare Burton, grew up in Canberra and raised families here. Pamela founded her own law firm in 1976 and later practised as a barrister at the Canberra Bar. Her various appointments have included Senior Member, Commonwealth Administrative Appeals Tribunal, member of the ACT Parole Board, and ACT Mental Health Official Visitor. She is the author of From Moree to Mabo: the Mary Gaudron Story (2010) and The Waterlow Killings: Portrait of a Family Tragedy (2012).
