Why should men care about equal opportunities?

Lars Einar Engström's first book was Confessions of a Sexist. In this public lecture, find out why he called himself a sexist and what our organisations can do to tackle it.

As a leading Swedish psychologist and consultant who is working with the American project MARC - Men Advocating for Real Change - run by the organisation Catalyst. His talk will discuss the core mission of MARC, how to engage  men in gender equity, as well as what is going on in this space in Europe.

Lars Einar Engström is a trained psychologist and a senior partner with the Swedish consultant company Edcolby AB (www.edcolbyltd.com). He has written four books, of which three have been translated into English,Confessions of a Sexist (2008), Your Career in Your Hands (2011) and Thoughts of a sexist (2012). Lars Einar writes an online column for the american organisation Catalyst (www.onthemarc.org) and for the Swedish business school IHM (www.ihm.se). His next book will be published in July 2015, with the provocative title: Stand Up and Be A Real Man. Lars Einar has worked with a number of companys and organisations in Europe and in the US and He has been given seminars at business schools and universities like Yale University, Copenhagen Business School and Stockholm school of Economics regarding leadership, gender and diversity. Prior to becoming a consultant, in 2001, Lars Einar was working at the Bonniers Media Group and Apple Computer Europe, based in Paris, France, with management training and leadership development, connected to Insead in France and London School of Economics. Lars Einar has lived in France, UK and Belgium. He is now based in his homecountry, Sweden.
