What would a feminist foreign policy for Australia look like?

What would a Feminist Foreign Policy for Australia look like?  A conversation with Professor Jacqui True, Director of Gender, Peace and Security Centre at Monash University, and Professor of Politics and International Relations.

This conversation explores the implications of a feminist analysis for our foreign alliances, engaging in war, foreign aid and trade policies, our military budget….

Jacqui True is a specialist in Gender and International Relations and is actively involved in WILPF International’s Women, Peace and Security program.    Her book, The Political Economy of Violence Against Women (Oxford, 2012) won the American Political Science Association’s 2012 biennial prize for the best book in human rights and the British International Studies Association International Political Economy book prize in 2013.  Her article “Why we need a feminist foreign policy to stop war” provides excellent background to this conversation.
