What does it mean to be queer*? Intercultural perspectives

What does it mean to be queer*? How have queer* people created cultures and spaces for themselves? And how do different cultural contexts influence this process?

In celebration of IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia), the Cultures Learning Community will discuss intercultural perspectives on the experience of being queer*.

Join our panel of researchers and community advocates as they discuss a range of their work and personal experience in this area to untangle this complex issue.

Full list of speakers TBA

The event will begin with each speaker discussing an aspect of queer culture, or an intercultural perspective on this issue, that interests them. The floor will then be opened for audience questions.

Refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the event | This event is free and open to all members of the public.

This event is proudly supported by the ACT Government Office for LGBTIQ Affairs.
