Turning challenges into opportunities: career & leadership workshop by Lead Mama Lead

Working mothers who work flexibly or part-time frequently find their career potential hampered by workplaces that underestimate the contribution and value of working mothers. This is a source of frustration for many working mothers, who will often feel the effects of this throughout their careers. But constraints and challenges can also offer an opportunity for growth and renewal in our careers. In this practical workshop, you will learn how to reframe your challenges as opportunities in your career, hear from your peers who have been able to do so, and uncover your strengths so that you can build your way towards the career that you want, in the balance that suits you and your family.

Lead Mama Lead is a social enterprise designed to change the way that working mothers are viewed and valued in our workplaces. We deliver unique peer-to-peer learning experiences and a supportive community that enables working mothers feel supported in their frustrations at work, and share experiences of overcoming the systemic barriers that hold them back in their workplaces.

Please register for the event here. Workshop format and catering are specifically designed to meet specific needs of mothers with young families. Come late or leave early if needed. Children and babies are also welcome.
