TEDx­Can­berra is pleased to be hosting its first TEDxCanberraWomen event, in conjunction with TEDx­Women, a TEDx event organised by the Paley Center for Media that focuses on women and women’s issues. TEDxCanberraWomen is one of over 130 TEDx events happening around the globe on the weekend of 30 November 30 - 2 December 2012 hosted around the live web­cast ofTEDxWomen.

This year TEDxWomen is themed The Space Between. This is the second edition of TEDxWomen, the first brought to the stage speakers such as Gloria Steinem, Dr. Oz and Jane Fonda and was viewed by 120 TEDx communities around the globe. The event was inspired by TED­Women, which took place in 2010.
