Society would flourish under female rule: Intelligence Squared Debate

An upcoming debate in the Intelligence Squared debate series in Sydney aims to answer the question: might the world be a better place if women had real power in shaping its future?

"Prominent feminists, like Germaine Greer, believe that the world will gain little if women assume power only to rule as men have ruled for millennia. Rather, she argues, all will benefit (men included) in a world in which women have a transformative effect on our world - not only in terms of righting an historic injustice (important as that is) but also by rebalancing the ethical wheel of history - for the benefit of us all. But is this so? Would a world ruled by women be any better than a world ruled by men?"

FOR the motion: Eva Cox, Diane Smith-Gander and Kerry Chikarovski.
AGAINST the motion: Helen Razor, Emma A. Jane and Jane Caro.
