The film examines the life of a ladyboy who has moved to Phnom Penh to work as an entertainer and sex worker.

In this delightful but provocative documentary, Nutcha Tantivitayapitak follows the eccentric writer and translator Bundit Aneeya, who has been charged four times under Thailand’s lèse-majesté laws.

These films are screened in collaboration with the Visual Documentary Project based at Kyoto University.

 

These screenings are part of Asia and the Pacific Screens Season Seven: Polyphonic Asiapresented by the Australian Centre on China in the World.
