The SDGs & gender equality: from global to the Pacific
Join us for a rare opportunity to hear from three of UN Women’s leading experts in gender equality: Yannick Glemarec, Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director for Policy and Programme, UN Women (New York); Miwa Kato, Regional Representative, UN Women Asia and the Pacific (Bangkok); and Aleta Miller, Representative, UN Women Multi-Country Office (Fiji).
In a free Canberra public lecture, Virginia Haussegger, Director of the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation, will facilitate a conversation with UN Women leaders about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and progress underway towards achieving SDG 5 – gender equality and women’s empowerment – by 2030.

He holds a PhD from the University of Paris in Environment Sciences, and two Master Degrees in Hydrology and in Business Administration. He has authored and co-authored several publications in the field of disaster risk management, sustainable development, clean energy climate finance, and co-benefits between gender equality and climate action for sustainable development.
