This is not a 'wife beater'

You are warmly invited to the 2015 launch of the intimate partner and family violence campaign, This is Not a 'Wife Beater'.

Ending and preventing intimate partner and family violence requires a whole-of-community approach. This means we all have to play a role in challenging and changing the harmful language, attitudes, stereotypes, and behaviours that minimise and condone intimate partner and family violence. The campaign promotes this change by reclaiming the singlets casually referred to as ‘wife beaters’, renaming them ‘respecters’, and using them as a symbol to promote respectful relationships and safe communities for everyone. You can learn more about the campaign at: www.thisisnawb.com.au

Come along to mingle with your fellow community members, view the exhibition featuring photos of the campaign ambassadors and sponsors in respecter singlets, and learn more about the campaign and how you can get involved. Attendees will also have the opportunity to be photographed in, and purchase, respecter singlets.

All members of the community are welcome. Nibbles and drinks will be provided. The launch is free but please register online for catering and security purposes.
