Professor Kim Rubenstein discusses the lack of gender balance in appointments to the High Court

In an article for the Canberra Times, Gender Institute member Kim Rubenstein argues that addressing the lack of women in the high court should remain a priority. In light of the appointment of Geoffrey Nettle QC, as the replacement for the retiring Justice Susan Crennan on the High Court of Australia, there have been renewed calls for a mandated commitment to at least 40 per cent composition of either gender.
