Podcast release: 2015 Civil Society Dialogue on Women, Peace and Security

The third Annual Civil Society Dialogue on Women, Peace and Security marked the 15th anniversary of the landmark United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 by placing a spotlight on issues in some conflict affected communities to amplify civil society voices.The indepth discussions on women’s participation in conflict prevention, mitigation, resolution and peace processes included country focussed panels on both Myanmar and Solomon Islands which examined progress on this agenda from the perspective of the Australian Government, civil society and those involved in peace processes in-country.

 

Key male leaders from Government, civil society and academia also reflected on what it means to be a male leader on the women, peace and security agenda and discuss opportunities to advance women’s leadership in this space.
