Wednesday 10 July 2024

Time: Thursday, 1 August 2024, 2-4.30 pm
Venue: Bell School Boardroom (2nd floor), Hedley Bull Building, 130 Garran Road

This masterclass will bring together scholar activists working on different social justice campaigns across Asia and Pacific regions, and globally. Drawing from their experiences, Bina D’Costa, Noelene Nabulivou, and Faustina Pereira will explore how and why scholar activism matters for social justice and transformative politics (across sexual and reproductive health, violence against women, displacement, climate change and other issues to name a few). This interactive masterclass will be an opportunity for participants to learn more about different meanings, approaches, issues and opportunities for scholar activism in a small-group setting.

Limited seats available. Please send expressions of interest to maria.tanyag@anu.edu.au by 25 July 2024, 5 pm.
