Tradition at ANU is that we use the International Women’s Day Celebration as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate our gender champions.

If you have a colleague who has been a committed supporter of gender equity and/or has worked to support and mentor women to reach their potential, we encourage you to nominate that person by emailing Kelly Johnson by Friday 28 February 2014. Please provide the person’s name, their position at ANU and briefly explain why you think they should be recognised. Staff that you consider for nomination could include:

• People that have raised the profile of women and or spoken out for women’s issues
• People that have acted as a mentor or coach for women at ANU to help their colleagues succeed in their career aspirations
• People that have supported our post graduate women to achieve their aspirations
• Quiet achievers – women at ANU that are working behind the scene to make sure others can shine
