Made in Dagenham: Spring film fundraiser by Young UN Women Australia

Young UN Women Australia (YUNWA) Canberra and Canberra Chapter invite you to their 2013 Spring Campaign launch – a charity screening of ‘Made in Dagenham’.

The feature‐length film starring award winning Sally Hawkins and Bob Hoskins, tells the story of the 1968 Ford Dagenham strike by 187 sewing machinists as they protested against sexual discrimination. Their efforts led to the Equal Pay Act of 1970.

There will also be a guest presentation, an opportunity for a glass of wine and canapés before the screening, plus a fantastic raffle.

All profits raised from this event will go towards the UN Women Fund for Gender Equality.

TICKETS: $30 members, $35 non‐members (includes wine and canapés) - tickets can be purchased here.
