The life and works of Louisa Haynes Le Freimann

In this lecture, hosted by the Canberra Theosophical Society, Professor Plummer will be reconstructing the biography of forgotten Anglo-Australian woman artist Louisa Haynes Le Freimann (1863-1956). Born in England, Louisa emigrated to South Australia in 1892 and moved to Sydney where she joined the Theosophical Society in 1897. The years she spent in Sydney are connected with her commitment to the Theosophical Society. The National Library of Australia holds one of her paintings - Bush Picnic Scene near Adelaide
