Few words have had their meanings so dramatically transformed within such a short period of time as the term ‘Orientalism’, by Dr Hsu-Ming Teo is a senior lecturer in the Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations at Macquarie University. Hsu-Ming will discuss various gendered and ‘reformist’ versions of Orientalism including those of Mary Wollstonecraft.
