Gender minority & diversity lunch

The Social Justice portfolio have organised the Gender Minority & Diversity Lunch, sponsored and co-held by Ashurst.

This event is an academic panel focusing on the themes of law, gender and sexuality, followed by a cocktail style lunch. Topics discussed by the panel will include gendered and binary language in legislation, representation of women and LGBTQIA* individuals in the legal profession and marriage equality, with opportunity for Q&A after the panel.

Speakers include Professor Margaret Thornton, Associate Professor Wayne Morgan, ACT Human Rights Commissioner Dr Helen Watchirs OAM, and Infrastructure Partner from Ashurst Sarah Ross-Smith.

This year they will also be raising money for A Gender Agenda and donations can be made at the door.
