New data to support the analysis - and monitor the outcomes - of gender equality in Australia was released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on 25 August.

This ninth issue of the product updates data in six domains of interest: Economic Security, Education, Health, Work and Family Balance, Safety and Justice, and Democracy, Governance and Citizenship. Latest highlights from each domain are also included.

Extra data to supplement the latest issue of this product was released by the ABS on 7 September. For the first time, data from three of the domains - Economic security, Education and Work and family balance - has been disaggregated by Indigenous status, Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) status and Disability status.
