Gender café: Gender Institute end of year celebration and prize giving ceremony

Please join us to celebrate another great year for the Gender Institute! So much skill, hard work and passion has gone into the research, workshops, lectures, dialogues and public outreach our Institute has generated in 2018.

Our end of year celebration will commence at 9.30 with a prize giving ceremony when ANU Vice Chancellor Brian Schmidt will present the Gender Institute prize winners for best Honours, Masters and PhD theses and best Article by an HDR student published in 2017. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Sharon Bell, Elanor Huntington and Steve Blackburn on women in science and technology with a special focus on computing and engineering.

Then at 11.00 morning tea will be served in the Lotus Hall.

Then from 11.30  we will continue in the CIW seminar rooms with brief presentations of their research by the Gender Institute prize winners, followed by Q and A.

Drinks, nibbles, great conversations and much good cheer will be provided. Children and babies most welcome – as at all Gender Institute events.

We look forward to celebrating with you!
