Film screening: The Hunting Ground

From Academy nominated director Kirby Dick comes an exposé of rape crimes on U.S. college campuses, their institutional cover-ups, and the devastating toll they take on students and their families. The statistics are staggering. One in five female college students in the USA are sexually assaulted, yet only a fraction of these crimes are reported, and even fewer result in punishment for the perpetrator. This film explores the unfolding story of the female students and those who are fighting back. Hunting Ground is part of the Stronger than Fiction Documentary Film Festival.

There will be a Q & A after the screening with Loren Ovens, Women's Officer ANU and Chrystina Stanford, CEO,  Canberra Rape Crisis Centre. Trailer and tickets available here.
