Feminartsy workshop – building your online profile as a freelancer

This special workshop with Feminartsy editor and founder, Zoya Patel, will discuss the ins and outs of establishing an online profile to help market yourself as a freelance writer.

Topics covered will include:

  • Establishing an online profile through social media

  • Developing your own website or online portfolio

  • Marketing techniques to use when pitching content

  • Great examples of freelancers who market their work particularly well!

Participants will have the chance to ask plenty of questions and get one-on-one feedback from Zoya.

About the facilitator:

Zoya Patel founded online feminist journal Feminartsy in 2014, following four years as Editor-In-Chief of Lip Magazine. She has been writing about feminist issues since the age of 15 and has had work published in a number of publications including iD.co, Women's Agenda, Wet Ink, Right Now Inc, Scum Magazine and more. Zoya was Highly Commended in the Scribe Publishing Non-Fiction Prize 2015, was the 2014 recipient of the Anne Edgeworth Young Writers’ Fellowship, and was named the 2015 ACT Young Woman of the Year.
