Domestic violence during COVID-19

For this year's International Women's Day, Amnesty International Australia's ACT/Southern NSW Committee is putting together an all-female speaker's panel looking into the issue of Domestic Violence experienced by Women during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joined by a stellar panel of women-identifying speakers from various cultural and sexual orientations, we will be hearing about the experiences of women working in female support services/organisations and women's refuges in the ACT region.

Discover the experiences and work of our local female support service providers and learn about practical ways in which you can get involved to support vulnerable women in our community.

  • Tina Dixson (Queer Feminist Academic Activist, founder of Queer Sisterhood Project)
  • Mirsada Draskovic (Director of Toora Domestic Violence and Homelessness Service)
