This workshop will be lead by internationally recognised human rights and refugee lawyer, Professor Penelope Mathew. The workshop will carefully examine the refugee debate which has taken hold of the Australian political discourse over the past decade, and attempt to carefully untangle the law and the policy from the rhetoric and the politics.
