In conversation with Robyn Cadwallader

Robyn Cadwallader, author of the internationally praised novel The Anchoress, will be in conversation with Catherine Milne on Robyn's second novel, Book of Colours, a profoundly beautiful story about creativity and connection.

Book of Colours is set in London in 1321 in a small shop in Paternoster Row, where three people are drawn together around the creation of a magnificent, illuminated prayer book. As each struggles to see the book come into being, it will change everything they have understood about their place in the world.

In many ways, this is a story about power. It is also a novel about the place of women in the roiling and turbulent world of the early fourteenth century: what power they have, how they wield it, and just how temporary and conditional it is.

Robyn Cadwallader lives among vineyards outside Canberra. In addition to The Anchoress, Robyn has written poetry, short stories and a non-fiction book. You can follow her on Facebook robyncadwalladerauthor & Twitter @robyncad

Catherine Milne has worked for Penguin Books, Pan Macmillan, Allen & Unwin, and since 2012 with HarperCollins, where she is Head of Fiction.
