In conversation with Dervla McTiernan

Internationally bestselling and critically acclaimed crime fiction writer Dervla McTiernan will be in conversation with Jeff Popple on Dervla's new novel The Good Turn, the third in the Cormac Reilly series, following The Rúin and The Scholar.

“With her third novel Dervla McTiernan confirms she's a born storyteller." -Val McDermid.

The Rúin (2018) was a top ten bestseller, an Amazon Best Book of July 2018 and is currently being developed as a film by Irish actor Colin Farrell. The Scholar (2019) was a top five bestseller and was included in The Irish Times2019 Best Crime Fiction list.

The Good Turn begins with police corruption, an investigation that ends in tragedy and the mystery of a little girl's silence - three unconnected events that will prove to be linked by one small Irish seaside town. Detective Cormac Reilly and Garda Peter Fisher, facing the possible ruin of their careers, must fight to clear their names within a web of corruption and deception.

‘Cormac Reilly is a cop to follow to hell and back. Fans of Ian Rankin and Tana French will feel right at home' – Australian Bookseller + Publisher
