Celebrate International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia at ANU

This Monday 18th May, the ANU Queer* Department is hosting the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia at the ANU.

International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) is about showing your support for same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse students, teachers and families.

This year the ANU Queer* Department would like to encourage everyone to wear purple in support of their queer friends and peers.

The ANU Diversity Learning Community will also be running an afternoon tea on this day to celebrate IDAHOT. They would like to invite all queer* staff, students and allies to come along. The afternoon tea will be held at the Learning Comunity Hub safe space. A safe space is a place where you can relax and be able to fully express yourself without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.

The LC Hub is located right next to Sushi Smith and Commonwealth Bank in Union Court.

Cake and tea will be provided.
