Careers in the UN: law and gender

The ANU Circle for Gender Equity and ANU International Law Society are proud to host International Human Rights consultant, Jane Aeberhard-Hodges for a Careers event in Week 8 at The Australian National University. She will be speaking about her career with human rights law and gender equality, specifically in employment and business.

Jane Aeberhard-Hodges is a senior research associate at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). She has been Director of the Gender Equality Bureau of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and a member of the ILO’s senior management team. She has designed and delivered training programs in the area of fundamental principles and rights at work, in particular, gender equality at work, freedom of association, disability inclusion, human rights and HIV/AIDS.

After the speech there will be time for a brief Q&A session. 

This event is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career with the United Nations, in human rights law, or gender-focused areas.
