From Bureaucracy to Femocracy

The 2014 EMILY's List Oration will be presented by feminist activist and writer Sara Dowse.

Sara was the inaugural head of the Women's Affairs Section of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (now the Office of the Status of Women) for the Whitlam government, member of the Women's Electoral Lobby and the Women's Liberation Movement.

The event will occur on the 30th Anniversary of the passing of the Sex Discrimination Act and Sara will be talking about her experiences before and after the passing of this very important legislation, current political debates as well as personal anecdotes of her time with Prime Ministers Whitlam, Fraser, Hawke and Keating

Tickets are: $75 unwaged/$85 waged and the price includes dinner and drinks.
