AWAWS lunchtime talk & discussion: Prof Carole E. Newlands

Prof Carole E. Newlands –  HRC visiting fellow, classicist, and US-based professor of comparative literature and reception studies – will be giving a short talk on some observations, based on her personal experience and from the US, on the issue that never goes away – combining a career with family.

AWAWS (Australasian Women in Ancient World Studies) is open to men, as well as to women. Combining career and family can mean combining a career with having/raising children, caring responsibilities, the career of one’s partner.

Bring your lunch! Tea/coffee and cake provided. You are invited to make a donation to cover coffee & cake and a small contribution to  the AWAWS scholarship fund ($5 suggested, $2 undergraduates, but optional – even a gold coin is welcome).
