Australia and the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions on women, peace and security

To launch the 2013 Annual Civil Society Report Card on Australia’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security the ANU Gender Institute will host a reception followed by a public forum.

The event will begin at 5.30pm with a reception.

The launch of the report card by Senator the Honourable Michaelia Cash, Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women, will take place at 6.00pm, followed by a public forum on Australia’s implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

The forum, chaired by Dr. Katrina Lee-Koo (ANU), will take the form of a panel discussion involving Captain Jennifer Wittwer from the Royal Australian Navy, Julie McKay, the Executive Director of UN Women Australia, Philippa Nicholson from the Australian Civil-Military Centre and representatives from the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom and the Australian Council for International Development.’
