The Australian National University Circle for Gender Equity (ANU CGE) is a student society that aims to promote critical discussion around the role of gender, with a particular focus on development both nationally and internationally. They aim to provide educational events and facilitate conversation for not only students but the wider public for an all-inclusive and safe learning space. They welcome people of all genders, races, ages and sexualities at their events.

Their first seminar for this semester is: The role of men in gender equity.

Guest speakers:

• Julia Diprose, Communications and Media Coordinator for UN Women Australia.
• Tasman Bain, Co-Founder and Deputy Director of Meri Toksave (a women’s rights NGO in Papua New Guinea) and a White Ribbon Ambassador, a Plan Australia Youth Ambassador and a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.
• Dr Patrick Kilby, Lecturer in the School of Arch and Anth, CASS ANU.

Sushi will be served at this event.
