In this public lecture Dr Crompvoets presents findings from a three year in depth study into the health and wellbeing of Australia's female veterans. She examines issues of gender, identity and Defence culture, and the impact of deployment on servicewomen's health.

Dr Samantha Crompvoets is a sociologist, and Research fellow in the ANU Medical School. She is currently conducting a number of studies focusing on Defence, gender, health and culture and including a DVA funded study into the health and wellbeing of Reservists, and mothers who have deployed to the MEAO. She is also senior research advisor to a major ADF workforce reform program (project SUAKIN, VCDF Group).
