Congratulations to ANU Professor Emily Banks (pictured) and Associate Professor Susan West who were announced as winners in The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards for 2016. They join a distinguished cohort which includes Gender Institute members Dr Susan Harris-Rimmer and Professor Kim Rubenstein.

Dr West, who is the Artistic Director of the ANU Music Engagement Program, is a winner in the local and regional category.

ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt AC congratulated Professor Banks and Dr West on this recognition. "On behalf of the University, I congratulate Susan and Emily on their latest recognition," Professor Schmidt said.

"To be named in the 100 women of influence list is an outstanding achievement and highlights their commitment to their research and their ability to inspire those around them."
