The ANU Gender Institute was delighted and honoured to have the then Governor-General of Australia, Dame Quentin Bryce, launch the Institute in March 2011. Three years on, Ms Bryce's term as Australia's first female GG has come to an end and we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate and honor her commitment to "making it easier for women in all areas of leadership and public life".
"Her support for movements of social justice and feminism as one of those movements was integral to her career and she was never afraid to promote them."
