On Mother’s Day, many birthing women will be empowered by her birthing experience.  The joy of birthing with a sense of empowerment is an inalienable human right for all birthing women.  This seminar will explore what works well and what should be different in the maternity care of women who birth in Australia today.

The Respectful Maternity Care Charter - The Universal Rights of Childbearing Women- focuses specifically on the interpersonal aspects of care received by women seeking maternity services, delineating how human rights are implicated in the childbearing process and affirming their application to childbearing women as basic, inalienable rights.
