Research fellow (grade 1 or 2) in gender and sexuality studies

Salary range: $66,237 to $110,725 pa (plus 9.5% super)
Employment type: Full time (negotiable) and fixed term for six months
Location: Melbourne Burwood campus
 
About the role
The School of Communication and Creative Arts is seeking to recruit an academic to join a team of established colleagues working in sexual and gender diversity and youth in Australia.
 
This will include:
  • Providing an excellent contribution to the Faculty’s research programs
  • Contributing to publications in journals of high repute
  • Contributing to the achievement of Deakin’s strategic goals in research, engagement and innovation
  • Contributing to the research achievement of the Faculty
About you 
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
  • Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications in gender and sexuality studies and a demonstrated ability to plan, initiate and conduct high quality research
  • Experience in the study of gender, youth andsexuality in Australia since 1990, with a focus on relevant policies and programmes in youth services, health and education
  • Prior experience in conducting archival and qualitative research regarding policies and programmes in government and nongovernment settings
