Congratulations to Ms Melanie Poole, a Gender Institute member whose position as Co-ordinator of CARE Australia’s parliamentary advocacy is now available (see below). Melanie has won an Anne Wexler - Fulbright Scholarship in the United States to undertake a Masters in Public Policy. Melanie’s work is in the area of humanitarian advocacy and global development, with a strong focus on promoting the rights of women and girls.
Job vacancy: The Parliamentary Advocacy Coordinator will coordinate and support CARE Australia's parliamentary advocacy. A core part of this role involves leading and administering secretariat functions for the Parliamentary Group on Population and Development (PGPD), and supporting its policy agenda around sexual and reproductive health issues and other relevant issues of gender rights and discrimination.
