Job opportunity: monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) leader, investing in women (IW)

Investing in Women is a dynamic and innovative gender equality initiative funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (DFAT) Aid Program.  Investing in Women aims to empower women economically in South East Asia (Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar) by supporting:

  • Improvements in private sector workplace gender equality;
  • The development of the impact investing market to support women’s small and medium enterprises;
  • Improvements in the policy environment supporting women’s economic empowerment; and
  • Advocacy efforts in the region for women’s economic empowerment.

The IW monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) Unit

METIS is responsible for establishing and operating the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) Unit for Investing in Women (IW). The MEL unit is based in Manila, Philippines, and works with all IW stakeholders, including national business coalitions, impact investors, component teams and relevant DFAT sections, to operate a MEL system that is both strategic and responsive to the program’s information needs. In addition, the MEL system will contribute to the regional and global body of evidence that seeks to identify the economic and social benefits of women’s economic empowerment.

METIS Analytics is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the following Long-Term Adviser (LTA) role with the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) Unit of the Investing in Women Initiative:

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Leader

The MEL Leader will be the principal liaison point between DFAT, Investing in Women and program partners in respect to MEL activities. S/he will be responsible for: implementing the activities which comprise the IW MEL System (either directly or via management of technical advisory inputs); ensuring the System is efficiently meeting the program’s information needs; and aligning the MEL system with component implementation.

  • Location: Manila, Philippines
