At the intersection of gender and language: why do francophone women have lower levels of political participation?

Gender Institute member Dr Katrine Beauregard has recently published an article in the American Review of Canadian Studies exploring Québec Francophone women’s lower levels of political participation. The article is available online.

Dr Beauregard is located in the School of Politics and International Relations and her work focuses on political behaviour, and the factors that explain differences among citizens.
