Gender Institute member Associate Professor Ronit Ricci has just published Exile in Colonial Asia: Kings, Convicts, Commemoration, an edited collection that explores the phenomenon of exile within and from colonial Asia between the seventeenth and early twentieth centuries from several disciplinary perspectives: anthropology, gender studies, literature, history, and Asian, Australian, and Pacific studies. Associate Professor Ricci is located in the School of Culture, History & Language and her research interests focus on language study, translation, the roles stories play in human lives and comparative literary studies.
