A Chorus for Women: call for singers

A Passion for Peace is a community oratorio being developed by Canberra’s A Chorus of Women. It celebrates the centenary of the International Congress of Women — a peace congress held at The Hague in April/May 1915 with over 1200 women from warring and neutral countries. A Chorus of Women are now seeking for women of all ages in the Canberra singing community who would like to sing in three performances of A Passion for Peace at Albert Hall between 28 April – 2 May 2015.

The full work will feature many solos and small ensembles, as well as big choruses, so singers of varying skill levels are sought.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will start at the end of January 2015, Sunday afternoons, usually 3.30-5.30. Final rehearsals will be at Albert Hall on Anzac long weekend, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 April.

Performances

28 April, 30 April and 2 May 2015 at Albert Hall
