Caroline von Humboldt Prize


Research Award of 15,000 Euros awarded by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to post-doctoral female scientists. The Caroline von Humboldt Prize recognises excellent female scientists and offers funding for a research project, enabling the award winner to conduct her research as part of a research group at Humboldt-Unviersität zu Berlin (Scientist in Residence).

Selection Committee

Recipients are chosen by an independent selection committee presided by the Vice President for Research at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.


Eligible are female scientists who graduated within the last seven years and who do not yet hold tenured professorships. 


Candidates for the award may be nominated by professors of universities and non-university research institutions. Furthermore, submissions should also include a letter of agreement by the respective project manager at HumboldtUniversität.
